Looking at how slow I'm recapping, this is probably going to take much more posts than I expected. We left off last time before the crown game and I'll recap from there one. (By the way, if you don't want to read at such a slow rate you can read the actual webtoon.) Also, info paragraphs are for information you're not supposed to receive at that point in the story but I just included them since it would be easier to understand. I suggest you do not click the wiki links I embedded (well if you don't click them, then what was the point?)
Lero-ro appears and tells the regulars there is a bonus game, called the Crown Game, which would allow them to
The Crown Game is a bonus game for the second floor, consisting of 5 rounds. In the last few tests, they had formed teams. Every round, a maximum of 5 teams could participate in each round. Each round, the participating teams would fight for the crown, the team holding the crown at the end of the round wins the round and the rest of the teams are eliminated. A way to end the game early is to wear the crown while sitting the throne that is located in the centre of the arena for 5 minutes. There is a downside to this, jumping off the throne or losing the crown will immediately eliminate you and your team from the game.
The game ends with no winner. Key events of this game is that Bam lost the Black March to Anaak Jahad, who possessed the Green April, another one of the 13 Month Series. Rachel was found by Bam, she was undercover by the name Michelle Light and Bam gave up the Throne (he had been previously sitting on it) to protect her. There was no winner to this game as stated.
Bam lost consciousness and was unconscious for 3 days. The next test is called the Position Test, which required the Regulars to train as one of the following positions: Fishermen, Spear Bearer, Scout, Wave Controller, Light Bearer.
Info Paragraph #3 (Part 1): Battles in the Tower are mostly fought in teams, in which a Position is a role that an individual takes. To be clear, these positions were first developed when the 10 Great Warriors climbed the Tower, which I had explained in the past post. Just to recap, Ari Han, Arie Hon, Arlene Grace, Eurasia Blossom, Ha Yurin, Hendo Lok Bloodmadder, Khun Eduan, Lo Po Bia Family Head (we don't know his name yet), Po Bidau Gustang, Tu Perie Tperie, V, Yeon Hana were his 12 companions but as you might know, Arlene and V defected, resulting in 10. These positions were developed from when they fought with Shineuh, which means the positions aren't that relatable with man vs man battles.
Info Paragraph #3 (Part 2): I'm going the explain the positions now.
Fishermen: Fishermen are the main offence of a battle, usually the most adept in combat. They are seperated into Reel Fishermen, who use Reel Inventories to attack at medium range and Man-to-Man Fishermen, who go on offensive at close range. They are usually the centre of the battle as they are the main offensive force.
Spear Bearer: Spear Bearers would be similar to modern day snipers, taking care of long range attacks. Although they could also play Fishermen by using their spears at close range, but they mostly take care of long range attacks. They are also divided into 2 classes, Short Range, which strike enemy's weak points in the midst of battle and Long Range, which snipe from far away.
Scout: Scouts usually go ahead and collect information for the team, delivering to the Light Bearers. They can aid Fishermen in secondary combat as well. As they usually go ahead, they are often the first to run into an opponent. The Scout is a position which determines mental strength as very important, therefore someone who possesses weak mental strength can't be a Scout. They use Observers to collect data and can read Shinsu quite well. They are also separated into 2 groups, Basic Scouts generally work on gathering information for the Light Bearers and keep watch while Battle Valuing Scouts focus on backing up the Fishermen in close-range combat. They often use the technique Black Fish and Observer Hologram Projection.
Light Bearer: Light Bearers store and deliver knowledge to their team-mates while guiding them with the light of their Lighthouse. They are usually a thinker and form plans for their team.
Wave Controller: Wave Controllers are the directors of the battle, aiding their comrades by healing their wounds, annihilating enemy forces or subtly changing the tide of the battle, all through the use of Shinsu. There are many variations of this Position. (Aka my personal favourite position.)
FYI, fun fact, if all the positions fought each other with equal power, the Fisherman would most likely win.
Bam was assigned as a wave controller, Khun as a light bearer and Rak as a spear bearer. When the test started, Bam was still unconscious but luckily the wave controller trainer wasn't going to be there for a few days.
Bam was extremely good at manipulating shinsu, showing immense talent by producing a Baang in a few days, as somebody producing their first Baang in 2 years would already be considered a genius.
After Rak had passed the position test early, the final test was a Hide and Seek style test, in which the It was a ranker (since I'm assuming you all know what Hide and Seek is, I will simply put a link to the game here, I'll explain the changes though. Link here.) The twist makes Hide and Seek a lot more...violent. Quant, a ranker, is the 'it' of the game and it's more like Hide and Go Seek. There are two sides of the game, the Regulars, who must appoint an 'it' and that person must be a fisherman, and to win the game, they have to get the 'it' to the exit. The other side is Quant. Due to him being a ranker, there are several restrictions for him: He is only allowed to use one Baang.
I won't get into too much detail, so here are the key points of what happened in the game: Somebody committed suicide due to jealousy, Baam shows his irregular side by learning an extremely difficult technique in seconds and Baam's team wins. Here are the detail: Hide and Seek Arc.
I'm going to be wrapping up here, I'll finish off S1 next time!
